Session abstract
This session welcomes presentations that focus on the cultural dynamics of Iron Age communities in Africa across different periods, and are based on new field projects, the study of legacy artifacts, and regional syntheses. The topics may include settlement systems, social organization, subsistence trade, regional interactions, worldviews, religion, and any other insights gleaned from Iron Age artifacts/contexts.
